Description

Hartford House is a red brick house dating to around 1720, likely built upon earlier fabric. It has a roughly L-shaped plan. A raised band divides the ground and first floors. The house has two storeys and an attic, with five windows on each floor. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within rubbed brick segmental arches on the ground floor and flat arches on the first floor. A modern glazed door is located in the second window from the left, and has a rectangular light above it and a hood over. The roof is covered in old tiles and has a brick dentil cornice, a parapet, one dormer window, and brick end stacks. A wing, constructed to the west, features windows of a similar design.
