Description
This is a cottage dating from the mid-to-late 17th century, with an adjoining barn of similar date, creating an L-shaped plan. The cottage is constructed of red brick in English bond, painted white, with a plinth. The roof is thatched, and there is tumbled brickwork forming parapets at the gable ends and between the cottage and the barn, with shaped detailing at the apex. A ridge stack is present. The cottage has one storey and attic accommodation, featuring a gabled dormer and a single window and doorway at ground floor level. The barn has a dormer with a boarded opening, likely relating to a hayloft or granary. The brickwork of the window arches is similar in style to that of Black Horse Cottage in Elm.
