ELM Friday Bridge MAIN ROAD Church of St Mark

II Parish church, 1864, designed by J.B Owen in Decorated style. Gault brick with stone dressings. Steeply pitched wooden shingle roof. North west tower of two stages with gabled doorway and blind openings to first stage. Broach spire has a gabled spire light to each side. West window of four cusped lights with a foiled head in two centred arch. North and south walls in five bays divided by buttresses, with one window of two trefoil lights with quatrefoil in two centred arch to each. Gabled south porch of brick and stone with two centred outer arch of two chamfered orders. East window of chancel is similar to west window of nave.
