Description

Nos. 85-93 on Norwich Road is a terrace of four houses, including a corner shop, built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed from local brown brick, with some modern tiles on the hipped roofs and four chimney stacks. The terrace is three storeys high with a basement and consists of eleven bays. It features stone coping along the parapet.

On the second floor, there are seven recessed, sixteen-paned hung sash windows set in cambered gauged brick arches with stone cills, along with four blind windows. The first floor has six similar but larger windows and five blind windows. The ground floor includes four hung sash windows. The original house doors have six sunken panels and round-headed fanlights, although these have been replaced with modern doors. The corner shop has a half-glazed entrance and a twelve-paned hung sash window that is shaped to fit the round corner, with a brick panel above.
