Description
Nos. 97 and 97A on Norfolk Street is an 18th-century house that has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed of local brown brick and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a double pile plan with four 'bays'. There is a shaped gable at the north end. The façade includes four flush framed sash windows with central glazing bars, along with two small, renewed casement attic windows. The ground floor has 19th-century shop windows. The elevation facing West Street displays three flush frame hung sash windows with glazing bars and two sunk, oval panels that bear the initials and date R.R.B. 1701.
