Description
The Old Hall is a house dating from the early 18th century, with early 19th century additions at the angle and to the rear. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tile roof with red brick end stacks. The building has two storeys and attics, with a rear wing. There is a brick band between the floors and at the eaves in the gables. The house has four bays, with four leaded-light casement dormer windows. On the first floor, there are four hung sash windows set in segmental brick arches, and three larger hung sash windows on the ground floor in cambered brick arches. A 19th century rusticated brick porch is sealed with a hung sash window, and the main entrance is located on the rear elevation. Although the interior was not seen in 1983, it is noted to have a 19th century staircase and an imported 18th century chimney piece, along with exposed ceiling beams.
