Description

No. 43 High Street is a house dating from the 16th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast render and has a hipped roof covered in plain tiles with deep eaves. A red brick ridge stack with pebble dash render is present. The house is two storeys tall. On the south elevation, there are four flush-framed, leaded-light casement windows on the first floor and two larger, similar windows on the ground floor. The entrance has a four-flush-panelled door topped by a 19th-century canopy. To the right, there is a weatherboarded lean-to, which may have similar details to No. 23 High Street.
