Description

No. 45 Mill Street is a house dating from around 1830. It is constructed of finely gauged red brick, while the rear wing is made of flint with red brick dressings. The building features a low pitch, hipped slate roof with deep boarded eaves. The front range has two storeys, but the rear range has a lower ground floor. The elevation facing the road is framed by pilaster strips and includes a range of three recessed hung sash windows, each with twelve panes and flat, gauged brick arches. There is an original cast iron portico with a tented roof. The fenestration in the service wing at the rear consists of two iron casements and two flush frame hung sashes, each also with twelve panes.
