TL 56 SE BOTTISHAM HIGH STREET (North Side) 4/12 The Grange

House, formerly Vicarage, 1838 by J Walter, architect, of Cambridge, for Rev J Hailstone. Grey brick with stone dressings and steeply pitched gable roofs, slated. The gable ends have pierced bargeboarding. There are three brick stacks, each with linked octagonal shafts. Tudor Gothic style, asymmetrical plan. Two storeys and attics. One two-storey parapetted bay at left hand with a four-light casement at first floor. Three other windows of two and a single light, also with chamfered mullions and jambs. At ground floor the bay window has casements of full height with a transome. The brick porch is gabled and has a four-centred outer arch, wave moulded and an inner arch also four centred and with a similar moulding but on a higher base.
