Description

This building, now three separate dwellings, originally served as the local workhouse, constructed in the late 17th or early 18th century. It is built of local red brick with a red pantile roof and features two symmetrical brick stacks and a rear stack. The building is two storeys high with an attic, and incorporates an outshut. A prominent gable is centrally positioned on the facade, featuring a round window. Other details include a dentil brick cornice and a brick plinth. The original facade displays seven first-floor casement windows, with a central half-glazed door flanked by two modern porches with flat roofs. An Enclosure Award Map from 1810 documents the property.
