Description
Fordham House is a farmhouse constructed in two phases during the 19th century. It is built from gault brick and features low-pitched, hipped slate roofs with seven chimneys. The house has two storeys and boarded eaves supported by shaped brackets. The south-facing entrance facade includes one blind window and two first-floor sixteen-paned hung sash windows, all recessed in cambered gauged brick arches, along with two similar windows on the ground floor. To the left of the main entrance, there is a straight joint indicating an earlier building. The entrance features a six-flush-panelled door with a fanlight that has glazing bars, all set within a double recessed round-headed gauged brick arch with stone imposts. Inside, the early to mid-19th-century details include a staircase and chimney pieces.
