Description
Biggen Stud Farmhouse is a cottage ornee farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with additions from the 19th century. It features a combination of plastered timber-frame, gault brick, and clunch, along with red brick stacks. The original building has a thatched, hipped roof, while the outshuts are slated. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays. There are three casement windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all set in two-centred arches. A modern, thatched and glazed closed porch with a boarded oak door is present. Additionally, there are two doors with two-centred arches in matching wings on either side. The interior has been altered around 1934, although some 18th-century doors remain.
