Description
Uphall is a building located on Church End in Cherry Hinton, dating from the 16th century but externally reflecting early 19th-century character. The structure is cased in grey gault brick, likely added around 1830, and has undergone alterations since then. The original part of the house is situated on the right side and features two storeys with three windows. It has a central panelled door topped with a flat hood and a four-light casement window above. The other windows are three-light casements. Inside, the timber framing is exposed, and there is a notable early 19th-century cast-iron grate in the drawing room. The roof is slate. The south wing, now numbered 210, is taller with two storeys and two sash windows that include glazing bars. It has a panelled door with a rectangular light above and a flat hood, and its roof is hipped and also covered in slate.
