Description
The Red Building at Pembroke College was constructed between 1871 and 1872 by architect A. Waterhouse. It is designed in the Louis XII style and features dark red brick with stone dressings. The building has an asymmetrical composition that culminates in a picturesque tower topped with an excessively steep French pavilion roof. It stands two storeys high with attics and includes two-light transomed windows. The roof is made of slate.
