Description
Freemasons Hall, also known as The Careers Research and Advisory Centre, is a building constructed between 1913 and 1914 by Morley Horder. It is designed in an attractive free Neo-Tudor style. The main range features a square central porch-tower and two symmetrical projecting wings with bay windows of varying lengths, heights, and designs. The building is made of pale brick with buff stone dressings and has two storeys and attics. It includes two and three-light mullioned windows with leaded lattice designs, as well as centred bays. The south range houses the Chapel, which is also two storeys tall and features two-light windows with traceried heads. All sections of the building are interconnected and have pantiled roofs with gables.
