Description
The bridge over Hobson's Brook, located mid-way along Brookside on Trumpington Road, dates from 1851. It is a single span cast-iron bridge featuring pierced spandrels. The bridge has moulded standards with plain handrails and is decorated with rosettes and the University Arms. The name of the ironfounder, Hurrell, specifically Swan Hurrell of Market Hill, is also included in the design.
