Description
Trinity College features a gateway that dates from around 1610. It is constructed from ashlar stone and has a semi-circular arch adorned with extensive carved decoration. The piers of the gateway are designed with Roman Doric half-columns set on tall pedestals, which support an entablature. The arch displays the Stuart Royal arms alongside the Nevile arms. This gateway has been relocated several times throughout its history.
