Description

Chadwell Place is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century, with significant alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick and timber framing, with plaster infill, and has a red plain tile hipped roof. The house is two storeys high with attics, and is arranged in a T-shape. The front elevation has four window bays, featuring double-hung vertical sliding sash windows arranged asymmetrically. An early 20th-century canted bay window is located at the north end of the front. Three dormers with double-hung sash windows are set into the roof. The central doorway has a moulded hood supported by brackets. The building possesses group value from its contribution to the character of the area.
