Description

Birch Cottage is a house dating from the 15th or 16th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and features a jettied and gabled crosswing at the south end. The front has a four-window range with early 19th-century cast iron small-paned casements, two of which have small gables above the eaves. The exterior displays cambed pargetting and is complemented by red brick chimney stacks from the 17th and 18th centuries.
