Description

Old North’s Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Rectory Road, Orsett. It is a timber-framed building, now plastered, with a red plain tile hipped roof. The house comprises three parallel ranges, with a two-window range facing the street. The street-facing facade features 19th-century double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The north side has a three-window range with similar windows. A modern bay window with sash windows and a modern porch have been added. Original red brick chimney stacks remain.
