Description

No. 2 High Road is an 18th-century house constructed of red brick with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range of double-hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. The windows on the first floor are from the 18th century, while those on the ground floor date to the late 18th or early 19th century. The original doorway is topped with a rectangular fanlight. There is a red brick chimney stack on the end wall. This building was formerly known as "Anson's School" in the 18th century and has a brick inscribed "R. ROSS 1776."
