Description
Fielding House is an early 18th-century house located on the east side of Wansford Bridge End. It is constructed from coursed stone and features a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with stone coping at the gable ends. The building has modillion eaves and consists of two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays.
On the first floor, there are three 18th or 19th-century three-light casements with glazing bars. The ground floor includes tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, along with a central flush-panelled door that has rectangular fanlights above. The house has timber lintels and three old hipped dormers with casements that also feature glazing bars.
There are ashlar stacks positioned off centre and at the ends, with the north end stack having a cornice. The rear wall is made of brick, and there is an early 19th-century rear wing that has a late 19th-century extension featuring Gothic windows.
