Description

This is a late 18th-century cottage with a 19th-century extension at the east end and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble, with a slate roof that includes sections of asbestos slate and gabled ends. The original part of the house has been heightened, with a rendered first floor. It has five windows on each floor. The windows are a mix of 19th-century sash windows and casements, with a modern bowed bay window on the left side of the ground floor. The original entrance doorway is blocked, and a tablet above it is inscribed "B.H.C.1785" and "R J C 1937". The building is included on the list for its group value.
