Description

The Elms is an 18th-century house with 19th-century additions, formerly known as Wittering Lodge. It is constructed of coursed stone and has a Collyweston stone mansard roof with gabled ends. The main house is two storeys and has an attic, with a three-window front plus a single-window 19th-century addition at the west end, also built of stone and matching the roofline. Late 19th-century three-light casement windows are present. The central entrance features a flush panel door with a rectangular fanlight, sheltered by a late 19th-century gabled wooden porch. Three hipped dormers light the attic space. Brick end stacks are visible. A rear wing dates to the 18th century, with a 19th-century addition attached.
