Description
Church Farmhouse and a range of outbuildings with a dovecote are located on the west side of Ettton Main Road. The farmhouse dates from the 16th or 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and features steeply pitched roofs with coped gable ends; the west end has a slated roof, while the east end is thatched. The east end, likely from the 17th century, is a one-storey building with an attic and an L-shaped plan due to a rear wing. It has 19th-century sash windows on the south front and casements on the rear wing, along with wedge-shaped gabled dormers and a six-panel door. An ashlar end stack with a cornice is present. The west wing, dating from the 16th or 17th century, is two storeys high and has a thatched roof, featuring a two-window range of 19th-century sashes and modern bay windows, along with ashlar end stacks with cornices. There is a lean-to at the rear supported by three large buttresses. Inside, the west wing has heavily moulded ceiling beams and moulded joists, while the east wing features stop-chamfered ceiling beams. Adjoining the farmhouse is a long single-storey range of outbuildings that back onto the churchyard, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof and gabled ends, and includes a modern garage door on the south front. At the east end of this range is a dovecote lined with nesting holes and stone ledges.
