Description

The Old Rectory is a house dating from approximately 1830 to 1840. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a low-pitched slate roof with wide eaves. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with a projecting wing to the left. Wide ashlar pilasters are present at the corners and between the bays, and a string course runs at floor level. The windows are sashes with glazing bars in ashlar surrounds, and a central French window is also present. A ground-floor ashlar bay window is located in the left-hand wing. Ashlar chimney stacks with cornices top the building. A contemporary wing extends to the rear.
