Description

Thornhaugh Post Office is an estate workers cottage built around 1840-1850. It is constructed from stone rubble and features a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The building stands two storeys high and includes a right-hand gabled semi-dormer. There are two windows on the front, with moulded stone mullion and transom windows: the first floor has two lights, while the ground floor has three lights. The central doorway has a depressed arch and a plank door. Additionally, there are stone end chimney stacks with brick shafts topped with stone caps.
