Description
Rose Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the south side of High Street in Maxey. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble and features a thatched roof with coped gable ends. The building has one storey and an attic, with a three-window range that includes two 3-light wood mullion casements and a central 2-light moulded stone window with a cornice. There are also two eyebrow dormers and end brick stacks. Adjoining the rear of the cottage are outbuildings and stables, which form a long single-storey stone range with a thatched roof, likely dating from the 18th century.
