Description

Fairholme is a late 17th-century house located on Church Street, Werrrington. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a stone slate roof. A plain stone string course runs around the building. The house is two storeys tall with attics, and features two gabled dormers, one of which incorporates a fire plaque. There are three windows on the front elevation; two are mullioned windows with three lights, each having a dripmould. The central window is a two-light leaded casement with a wooden architrave. On the ground floor are three double-hung sash windows with original glazing bars and wooden lintels, alongside a single three-light mullion window, also with a dripmould. A late Georgian doorway features a semi-circular headed moulded architrave, and the door itself has two round-headed panels. Internally, fireplaces at the east end of the house have bolection moulded surrounds.
