Description
No. 68 is a house dating from around 1700, located on High Street in Ridgmont. It is constructed of red brick featuring a chequerwork pattern made with vitrified headers, and it has a 20th-century tiled roof. The house has a two-room plan and stands two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light leaded windows with wooden mullions and transoms, while the first floor has two similar windows flanking a 2-light leaded casement. All windows have flat arches and appear to be in slightly enlarged openings. The central entrance features a 4-panel door. The gable ends of the house have external brick stacks and brick coping. There is a 19th-century lean-to addition at the rear.
