Description

No. 38 High Street is an early 18th-century building featuring a front made of vitrified brick with pale red brick dressings. It has a steeply pitched tiled roof with raised verges and high plain kneelers. The building stands two storeys tall with attics and includes a first-floor band. The ground floor has two modern projecting shop windows and a central door that is sheltered by a cut bracketed hood. On the first floor, there are five sash windows set in wide frames with shallow reveals, and two hipped dormers are present in the roof. This property is part of a group with Nos. 34 to 40 (even).
