Description

The Church of St Margaret is a Grade I listed building located on Sharpenhoe Road in Streathley. The church features a 14th-century nave with a four-bay arcade, and the north doorway along with the east and west aisle windows date from the same period. The west tower was added in the 15th century, while the chancel was constructed in the late 19th century using brick. A notable feature of the church is the fine 13th-century octagonal font, which has foliage or tracery panels on each face and is supported by a base of four engaged shafts with moulded bases and capitals.
