Description
The Assembly Hall at The Cedars School is a building from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features chequered red vitreous brickwork with red brick dressings. The old tiled roof has a west gable with raised verges. The exterior consists of four bays, each containing two sash windows set between pilasters. There is a plinth and a brick cornice moulding. On the west side elevation, there is a central short dummy window flanked by tall sash windows, with a square window above in the gable end. Inside, the hall has partly exposed roof trusses, with eight bays between tie beams, featuring King and Queen posts supporting the collar beams.
