Description
Claridge's, formerly known as Claridge's Farmhouse, is a 17th-century building located on the north side of Eggington High Street. It is timber framed with red brick nogging and has two storeys topped by an old clay tile roof. The right-hand gable features an oversailing first floor, while the left-hand gable was rebuilt in the 18th century and has a hipped roof. The central block includes two flush sash windows with glazing bars. The left-hand wing has a three-light casement window on the first floor and a sash window on the ground floor, while the right-hand wing has a modern mullioned casement. The entrance is framed by a 19th-century Doric door surround.
