Description

36A and 36 High Street North are mid-19th century buildings made of plum-colored brick. They feature a low-pitched hipped roof covered with Welsh slate and have a paired bracketed cornice. The buildings stand three stories tall and have two sash windows beneath red brick flat arches, with a central dummy window. The windows on the right have been altered to casements. The shop fronts were modified in the 19th century. These buildings are included for their group value, as they are part of a series that includes numbers 36 to 48 (even).
