Description

This is an early 17th-century building in Leighton Buzzard, later divided into two houses. It has a steeply pitched roof covered with old tiles, and two gables face the road. The front is colour-washed plaster. There are four casement windows on the first floor, and two gable windows. A 18th-century shop front, which has now been removed from No. 47, originally featured a frieze, cornice, glazing bars, and a door on the right side. Nos. 35 to 51 (odd numbers) and Nos. 55 to 59 (odd numbers) form a group.
