Description

These are two houses, numbers 10 and 12 Woburn Street, dating to circa 1800. They were designed as a single scheme to resemble a grander residence. The houses are built of vermilion brick, with darker red brick detailing around the windows. They have sharply protruding eaves beneath a flat, grey slate roof. The front elevation features five sash windows set in deep reveals, with the central three windows slightly recessed. A central doorway, topped with a fanlight, is set within a simple stone surround. To the left is a bay shop window with a decorative frieze and cornice. A carriage archway is situated at the left end of the building. Numbers 2 to 20 (even) form a group.
