Description

Cross Close is a house dated 1691, as indicated by the inscription on the first floor panel, which features a shallow cornice. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and has an old clay tile roof, along with a central chimney stack. It stands two storeys high with attics. On the first floor, there are two 3-light leaded casement windows and a small central casement with geometric lead cames. The ground floor includes two leaded casements that have moulded timber lintels. A central modern gabled stone porch has been added, and there is a two-storey modern extension on the right-hand side, which is cement rendered and has a tile roof. Each floor of the extension features one modern leaded casement window.
