Description

The Post Office and Watsons Stores is an 18th-century house that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features pebbledash rendering, topped with a concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys, with three leaded casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor includes a modern small fixed plate glass window on the left-hand side. On the right-hand side, there are remnants of a mid-19th century shop front that originally had two canted bays; this has since been updated with modern windows and a central half-glazed door that includes an oblong fanlight. The building is listed for its group value.
