Description

Rectory Cottage is a house dating back to the 16th century, which has been altered and extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. The timber-frame gable ends are now rendered over. The two-storey facade features two 3-light casement windows with Gothic arched heads on each floor of the original building. A 20th-century flat-roofed conservatory obscures the right-hand ground floor window. A 20th-century extension to the left-hand side has glazed double doors on the ground floor and a 3-light window to the first floor; its gable end has a single light window on both ground and first floors. A 20th-century gabled wing is located to the right-hand side, and a central 20th-century porch has been added. The house is situated immediately behind the churchyard. The rear elevation has two small horizontal sash windows and a ground floor 3-light leaded casement matching those on the facade.
