Description
West End Farmhouse is a late 16th or 17th century house that was remodeled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and has a clay tile roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and is designed in an H-plan layout. There is one central gabled dormer, and the gable ends of the projecting cross wings each feature a single 2-light attic casement window. All attic windows have slightly cambered arches. The first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, arranged in a 1:1:1 pattern. The ground floor gable ends include canted bays topped with fishscale tile roofs. The central block has two ground floor sash windows with glazing bars, which flank an open-sided 19th century timber porch that has serrated-edged bargeboards on its gabled roof. Both the east and west elevations also feature ground floor canted bays.
