Description

Lambs Cottage is a group of three cottages, consisting of one pair and one single, which are now interconnected. The southern cottage dates from the 17th century and has had its roof raised at a later date. It is constructed of limestone and has two storeys. The northern part is timber-framed with brick infill, dating from the 18th or 19th century, and has been modernised; it may have originally been a barn. At a right angle to the northeast is a single-storey cottage from the 17th or 18th century, which features a large recent dormer attached to the rear. This cottage is also timber-framed with brick infill and some limestone walling, topped with pantiles. The entire group has been considerably altered over time.
