Description

This is a row of six large houses, originally part of the Bedford estate, built in 1865. The houses are constructed of red brick with clay tile roofs. They follow a regular plan, including a block of outbuildings at the rear. The two-storey front elevation is symmetrical. Large gables are positioned on the outer edges, separated by smaller gabled dormers, all featuring two-light casement windows with glazing bars. Steep gabled porches are present, with a pair in the centre and single porches within the outer gables. Front doors and ground-floor windows are set beneath cambered heads. Gables feature on the side and rear elevations, with a row of six evenly sized gables on the rear elevation.
