Description
Village Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century and 19th century. The front block is constructed from timber framing and has a pebbledash render. The later blocks to the south and rear are made of chequered red brick and yellow brick, topped with clay tile roofs. The original two-storey block features a two-room plan with a back-to-back hearth served by a red brick ridge stack. The road-facing elevation was refenestrated in the late 19th century or early 20th century, now featuring two three-light casements on the ground floor and three two-light casements on the first floor. There is a single-storey lean-to block at the rear. The later additions, which are larger than the original block, create an overall L-plan and also have similar fenestration to the front.
