Description

Ouse Manor is a house with origins in the 17th century or earlier, which has been extended over time, notably with a large 19th-century front wing. The main wing dates from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of limestone rubble with a hipped slated roof. It is two storeys high and features a bracketed eaves cornice. The front facade has five sash windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, with a central doorway framed by a pedimented Roman Doric stone surround. To the east and at the rear are older sections, likely from the 17th century, also in limestone rubble and with old clay tile roofs. These sections contain a variety of window types, some with timber lintels, and some blocked openings. A lean-to conservatory is on the west side, and a recessed door is sheltered by a flat hood supported on simple scroll brackets.
