Description
Coneygreen Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1727, with mid-19th century and some late 20th century alterations. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and brick, topped with a hipped tile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic that is illuminated by two flat-roofed dormers. The facade features five windows: three narrow windows that are blocked, and two wider 4-light casements positioned between them, all set under segmental heads. On the ground floor, there are two similar windows. The central entrance is framed by a wooden architrave and has a triangular canopy supported by wooden brackets, along with a radially glazed fanlight and a four-panelled door. There are contemporary lean-tos against each return front. The date 1727 is believed to have been scratched onto a sandstone block near the entrance, although it has worn away over time. Inside, the staircase features turned balusters, a moulded handrail, and a closed and moulded string.
