Description
Woodgreen Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with lighter brick dressings and features a plain tiled roof. The building is three storeys high and has a T-shaped plan with a main range consisting of three bays. The central bay has a pedimented gable and a segmentally arched doorway, along with two-light wood casement windows that have transoms and flat arched brick heads. The outer bays also contain similar windows, with some signs of early renewal in the southern bay, indicating that two original windows on each floor may have been replaced with a single window to enhance the symmetry of the facade. There is an inserted doorway at the angle of the rear wing, which also has two-light casement windows with transoms and flat arched heads. The farmhouse features sill bands throughout, pale brick quoining, coped gables, and an axial stack.
