Description
The Roman Catholic Chapel, located about 10 metres north of Harvington Hall, was built around 1743, with some rebuilding occurring around 1823 and restoration in 1947. The chapel is constructed of brick on a sandstone plinth and features a tiled roof. It is a single-storey building with a band and an attic that is lit by three hipped dormer windows and a two-light casement window under the eaves. On the ground floor, there are three windows; the outer two have segmental heads and are blind, while the central window is a two-light casement.
Inside, the chapel is situated in the attic and has a three-bay roof supported by interrupted tie-beam trusses. There is a narrow room behind the altar that serves as a sacristy, featuring a dummy door to the left and a real door to the right. The altar rails, dating from the 18th century, were brought from Upton on Severn.
