Description

The Field Barn is a late 18th-century structure built from blue lias stone and timber-frame, topped with a plain tile roof. It features stone gable ends and a stone plinth, with timber-framed side walls. The barn consists of four bays and has a double purlin roof. Inside, there are tie-beam and collar trusses supported by queen struts and angle struts reaching up to the tie-beams, with minimal wind bracing present.
