Description
The Kings Arms is a public house dating from the 16th century and was rebuilt in 1691. It is constructed from blue lias stone and features imitation stone tile roofs. The building has an earlier range at the rear, which has gable ends on both the north and south sides, with plain tiles on the rear roof slope and a stack at the south end.
At the front right side, there is a large projecting gable with a datestone marked WPA 1691. The ground floor has two pairs of casement windows, while the first floor and attic feature a triple metal casement window. There are two 19th-century chimney flues on the front of the building. To the left, there is an adjoining parallel chimney gable with a brick stack, which is rendered at the first floor. This side also has a pair of casement windows on the first floor and a 19th-century splayed bay window below. Inside, there is an inglenook and a chamfered and stopped spine beam in the rear section.
